Optimize Reset Connectivity Function

Sometimes it is not sufficient to press the reset connectivity button in order to delete a PDP Context. We manually need to deactivate the SIM for some seconds and then activate it again.

Julian Cunow: Dear Julian,
Thank you for your patience. We recently introduced a new Reset API but it is still under testing. You can find the API documentation here:
We have not yet updated the "Reset connectivity" API on the portal. As soon as we have positive feedbacks from our customer regarding the new Reset API, we will quickly update it.
Can you help us check if this new Reset API works well on your devices?
Looking forward to your feedback.
best regards,
Varun Patel

Julian,
We have a plan for a new "Reset connectivity" API that will change the logic as compared to how this is currently handled. This will be an improvement to the current Reset connectivity functionality. At the moment, I am unable to provide any timeline but this is on our roadmap.
I hope this helps.
Thank you,
best regards,
Varun

But if your support also tells me that sometimes the disconnect is not long enough, shouldn't it be optimized on the platform side as well?

Hi Julian,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
When a reset connectivity is triggered, it should delete a PDP context and reattach to the network. If the deletion of PDP context is not happening, I would request to contact our support and we would perform some troubleshooting on the affected SIM cards.
Best regards,
