When sending SMS commands to the MSISDN number, the response doesn't always come in immediately. It would be nice to have a notification sound whenever we receive a message in the SMS console so that we can focus on other things while we are waiting for a response.

Hi - there is a way to send yourself notifications when a SMS is send from a device with using 3rd party no-code services such as Zapier (zapier.com) or Make (make.com).
- In Zapier / Make - Setup a Webhook in Make or Zapier with a URL to receive events
- In emnify Portal: Setup a SMS Webhook in the Service Profile and enter the URL from Zapier / Make as described here: https://docs.emnify.com/services/sms#emnify-sms-rest-api-and-webhook
- Configure in Zapier / Make your integration - for example to send a slack message or an email when a SMS arrives.
The plan is to also enable these automations in the Portal at one day.

Currently SMS are only visible when you go into the messaging option of a sim, having a list of most recent inbound messages or a flag for unread messages would make SMS more useful when using it to configure remote devices.

Thank you for this great request.
As the title says "Alerts", I assume you don't need to see all SMS but would like to get some insights into what happens with your inbound messages?
Can you describe your use case a little closer or explain how you envision an interface like that?
Do you want to infinite scroll though all SMS with the names of the devices where the SMS was sent to and what about responses from the devices?
Best regards, Michael

Michael Streiner: That would certainly help, we have some remote devices that can be configured via SMS, and when doing multiple at a time it can be frustrating checking the status of the config message. For example with one device we can only send one config at a time (but have 3 to send) so we have to wait for it to be delivered before sending the next.
With another we get a response back when the config is complete, so its not a one size fits all for us, but an infinite scroll of sms in and out and their delivery status would be a huge benefit

Dear Sam Leonardi, that is an interesting idea. We will take that into consideration.
