For customers using Factory test mode (FTM) feature we improved the flow and now you can create devices with Factory test straight from SIM inventory.
What’s New?
Device Creation from SIM Inventory:
  • Users and admins can now create devices in Factory Test Mode directly from their SIM inventory. Previously, this was only possible during SIM registration.
Unified Interface for Device Creation:
  • The device creation process has been streamlined for both bulk and single-device creation.
SIM Status-Specific Logic for Factory Test Device Creation:
  • Factory Test Mode device creation is restricted to SIMs in the Issued or FTM status.
  • Bulk Factory Test device creation will only apply to SIMs in the correct status (Issued or FTM). SIMs in Active or Suspended states cannot be used for Factory Test device creation.

* The factory test mode (FTM) feature allows you to test SIM cards before deploying to a production environment. You can use SIMs in FTM up to defined data and SMS thresholds without incurring charges. In this state, you won't be charged the monthly SIM hosting fees, and the data consumed won't affect the pooled allowance. More details in the documentation.
